Don’t settle for anything but the best — join Local Union 91! You’ll earn a paycheck while you’re trained in all facets of sheet metal and HVAC work, both in the classroom and on the job. It’s all part of what makes us ELITE!
We are the industry’s best-trained sheet metal professionals in everything from HVAC service and specialty fabrication to architectural sheet metal and wall panels.
Before applying for an apprenticeship, you’ll need to choose your specialty — either HVAC Sheet Metal or HVAC Service. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP. Once you apply under a specific specialty, you cannot switch without restarting the entire application process.
You also cannot change your specialty once you’ve been accepted into the program. For example, if you begin as an HVAC Sheet Metal apprentice and later decide you’d prefer HVAC Service, you would need to reapply the following year. Think of it this way: unlike a college major, this is a fixed choice, so be sure to research both programs carefully before making your decision.
The five-year HVAC SHEET METAL APPRENTICESHIP program teaches apprentices drafting, shop fabrication and field installation for all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The five-year HVAC SERVICE APPRENTICESHIP program instructs apprentices in the theory and design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
